  • 2024 KAIST Korean Language Camp (In-person)
  • 1) In-person
    • - Period: December 23 (Mon), 2024 – January 24 (Fri), 2025
    • - Class hours: 10:00 AM – 5:45 PM (Lunch: 11:50 AM – 1:30 PM)
    • - Registration period: November 4 – November 12, 2024
    • - Registration method: Online at, https://writing.kaist.ac.kr
    • - Tuition: Freer ((fully funded by KAIST)
    • - Eligibility
      • 가. Undergraduate international students admitted in the spring or fall semesterof 2024
      • 나. International undergraduate students admitted in 2023 or earlier who have not completed the Korean Language Camp
      • 다. Students who have obtained TOPIK Level 1 or higher must submit their TOPIK score report when registering for the camp. However, they are not required to attend. A certificate of completion will be awarded at the completion ceremony.
        • * Only those who submit a certificate of completion for the Korean Language Camp are eligible to enroll in regular Korean language courses offered in 2025.

  • 2) Level Test and Evaluation of Students
    • - Method: Individual in-person assessments
    • - Details: Oral assessment for class placement, evaluation of improvement in Korean language proficiency at the end of the program, and completion assessment
  • 3) Education
    • - Subjects: Korean vocabulary, grammar, speaking, reading, listening, writing
    • - Instructors: Invited professors and external instructors (holders of a master's degree or higher in Korean language education)

  • Camp Completion Requirements
  • - Attendance of at least 80%
  • - Overall grade of 70% or higher (based on assignments, participation/attitude, quizzes, and midterm/final assessments)
