KAIST Online Summer Korean Camp
(For International Undergraduate Students)

for undergraduate students, 2025 Fall semester
This program helps students learn Korean before entering KAIST. All international undergraduate students must complete this camp before taking Regular Korean 3 courses
1. Camp Schedule- July 20, 2026 – August 14, 2026
- Live online classes (ZOOM)
2. Registration
- For international students admitted for Fall 2026
- Application: May 11 – May 18, 2025
- Capacity: 40 students (first-come, first-served)
- Registration method : Online (https://lang.kaist.ac.kr/lecture_app/view/465/6264?lang=en)
- Fee: Free (supported by KAIST)
3. How to Apply
- Students with a KAIST Portal ID: Log in through the “KAIST Internal Member Login” page and apply without signing up.
- Students without a KAIST Portal ID: Sign up first, then log in through the “Non-KAIST Member Login” page and apply.

4. Completion Requirements
- At least 80% attendance
- At least 70% average score
※ Students who have an official TOPIK Level 1 or higher certificate:
You do not need to attend the language classes if you submit your official score report. However, you must attend the culture classes in order to complete the program.
※ How to submit the TOPIK score report: Upload it when applying for the course.
5. Course Content and Schedule
- A. Language Classes (Total: 120 hours)
- Goal: Achieve at least TOPIK Level 1
- Content: Korean vocabulary, grammar, speaking, reading, listening, and writing
- Method: Live online classes (via Zoom)
- Class Time: Day and evening classes are offered to match different time zones
* Day Class: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Korea Standard Time)
* Evening Class: 2:30 PM – 10:00 PM (Korea Standard Time) - B. Culture Classes (Total: 30 hours)
- Method: Live online classes and video materials
- Schedule:
* Live classes are held during language class hours
* Video materials can be watched anytime during the camp period
- Content: Introduction to KAIST, Korean holidays, understanding Korean culture, K-pop culture, Korean society, and travel
