"The KAIST Korean Language Center’s Regular Program" is a Korean language education program for foreigners in the STEM field, catering especially to learners who wish to study at science and technology universities and graduate schools like KAIST. This course provides an opportunity for potential members of the KAIST community to cultivate their Korean language skills in a systematic process. Through the regular program, students will experience life on the KAIST campus firsthand and develop the Korean language skills required to grow into science and technology professionals in Korea. With the language skills, students will be able to successfully adapt to Korean society and apply their full capabilities as key players in the field of science and technology.
"The KAIST Korean Language Center’s Regular Program" operates four 3 month-long semesters in a year, with a total of 200 hours of education provided per semester. Courses are offered in 6 levels of difficulty catering to the learner’s own proficiency level, and it takes 1 year and 6 months to complete all the courses. This program aims to help improve the Korean language skills of foreign learners in a systematic process to support their education and research at KAIST, enabling them to produce meaningful outcomes in the field of science and technology.
